Deep purple Fluorite cubes on Quartz crystals matrix. Largest cube is 33mm on edge. There are many small cubes of lilac color.

Baryte from La Beltraneja concession, Bacares, Almería, Spain.

Group of sharp Baryte crystals implanted on matrix.
The crystals are light beige and well defined. Some of them are very thin and translucent blades.

Calcite on Dolomite from Camargo, Cantabria, Spain.

Orange Calcite on flaky Dolomite. The small black points are manganese oxides.
A present from a great spanish collector, Jonathan Carral, in 2012. One of the first in my collection and a special specimen for me.

Palygorskite from Segovia, Spain.

This is a uncommon mineral known as “mountain leather”. It looks just like a weird piece of skin-like cloth and has an earthy but soft feel.
We usually find thin and bendable sheets made up of complexly intergrown fibers, resembling leather.

El Hoyazo is an old volcano formed some seven million years ago, and surrounded later with coral reefs that we can see nowadays.
19.000 tons of garnets were procesed here in the earlier 1900.
