PostPosted: Nov 14, 2017 04:58    Post subject: Micro photos of inclusions in Quartz

I love taking micro photos of inclusions in quartz.I will continue posting in this thread.

Start with micro pics of inclusions in so-called "blue ghost quartz“.
These inclusions are made of tiny paillettes, but I don't what they are and why they are blue.

I have one sample of the blue inclusion. I'm not sure it is natural or synthetic quartz. No info about any deposit.

Like the blue phantom quartz we discussed before?
Now I'm quite sure they are colored by nature as I have found blue fluid inclusions in the specimen.
I guess the way the blue fluid colored the inclusions is quite like pouring syrup over shaved ice.

(I made a mistake, the yellow inclusions with the "butterfly" are spessartine, not anatase .)

Unbelievable. I don't know how you recognize these things! The chlorite 7 photo is particularly enjoyable.

I look forward to seeing more of them.

Thanks, and happy Thanksgiving
