For those interested in the minerals of the UK, there is a new book available. I have not yet read it, but suspect it will be very good, based on Roy's previous publications

And here are the links, so you can click through and do not have to type them in!

You can find out more details here https://britishmineralogy.com/wordpress/?page_id=878

and order a copy via the Book Orders – Minerals of the English Midlands tab https://britishmineralogy.com/wordpress/?page_id=842

PS - I have no involvement with the book, but did love Roy's last one on the Cairngorm mountains

My copy has just arrived. It weighs 5lb (2.7kg) so landed with a thunk. My first impression is that it is superb. I read the section about the area where I collected as a child (Castleton). It is a great summary with superb photos. I would love more detail, but that would have required multiple volumes.

So now I have to find time to place it on my 'serious book' university grade book rest and read it - that will take a while as there is so much information in it. I will report back once I have done so.
