Really looks like glass slag.
Some slags can be so beautiful as to be collected although I think I can say that people in this forum we prefer natural crystals.

I have a piece of slag in my collection. The only reason I have it is that I took a couple coke bottles and a wine bottle or two and melted it my self. Looks pretty neat.

Oh I have a piece of slag from a Zinc plant and a piece from a stainless steel plant as well.
I have no real reason to have them other than the opportunity arose to collect a sample and I took it. They are not treasured possessions but I like them well enough :-) Would not have spent a cent for a sample though.

The only 'glass' I have in my collection are natural glass - tektites and fulgerites, etc. Man-made items are not allowed in my collection, even though I once make my own crystals as a child. Just my own 'rule' that it has to be natural to be in my collection - but one can collect whatever one feels is interesting and attractive.....

I have a piece of Spanish Colonial era slag that shows blebs of lead remaining from the crude smelting technology of the day...
