It was found in the harbor of southern Maine.
It appears to have a lot of quartz but I’m qurious to what the other colors represent? There’s some black and pinkish orange, more pink. I haven’t gone beyond peroxide for washing yet but wondered if it was worth it?
Thank you!

Hello,

Different colors do not always mean different minerals. In your case it looks like iron stained quartz to me. About washing it - I don't know if it is worth it. However you can never know before trying. Note that cleaning minerals with chemicals is not always a good idea. Sometimes the cleaning removes the coating leaving ugly etched crystals behind.
