This is a granodiorite outcrop in Pietarsaari, Finland.

There are lots of glacier erosion forms; the pictures are taken from Rôche moutonnée (or sheepback) rock formations. In this granodiorite outcrop are large inclusions of different kind. If you are familiar with the formation process of these variable (xenoliths?), please share your knowledge! I am very interested in formation of an outer ring.

Very nice outcrops & photos!

My try at comments. When the xenoliths are fairly "compatible" in composition and mineralogy with the (granitic, I guess) rock around them, there is little or no reaction rim formed. But when they are not--such as, a limestone xenolith in granite, then there is a considerable reaction taking place, and prominent rims may form. I wouldn't try to guess, just from the photos, exactly what, mineralogically, has taken place.
