Took this rock to a local rock shop along with some other specimens. He could not identify this one.

I agree with TOBI. Nice specimen! I am a bit surprised that a "rock shop" couldn't give you a general identification of pyromorphite on your specimen. BOB

Thank you. It’s a gift for my daughter. Before I give it to her I’d like to know what it is and retail value. Any resource recommendations are more than welcomed.

WE do not discuss value here. But if you want, go to EBay and search for pyromorphite and you will find plenty of examples with prices on them.

This is indeed a bit strange when we talk about a rock shop, this specimen is extremely distinctive.
