PostPosted: Mar 23, 2020 05:46    Post subject: Baryte from Spain : which locality?

A Baryte from Spain, I am sure, but from which locality? The vendor says "Las Cenizas pit, Portman, La Unión", and although he knows what he is talking about concerning Barytes, I have my doubts. It looks more it is coming from the "San Camilo Mine, Vista Alegre". Because it looks very much like the Baryte I posted in my thread on page 2 nr. 164 Baryte.

Can anybody, maybe from the Spanish forum, help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Rob

Almost sure from San Camilo Mine. Please check the FMF gallery at the Spanish side of FMF:

I agree, San Camilo (I collected there in about 1994)

Thank you Jordi and James. Then San Camilo Mine it will be.
How do I get this photo with the correct locality in my collection thread? Maybe a new upload in that thread?

Kind regards,
Rob

Hi Firmo, thanks for that, but where is it? I don’t see it in my thread. Must I do something I am not aware of?

Kind regards,
Rob
