April 5 is celebrated as Geologist Day in Russia since 1966. It is gaining international popularity and is celebrated in many other countries. So happy Geologist Day to all our geologists out there!

Happy Geologist Day to all of you, too! I've received several notes from friends about this today--one from Russia, and one from Germany, and I guess one from, a Russian friend living in Canada. The Day has not much become known in the U.S., at this time!

Wishing everyone good health and a rewarding and hopeful life, and looking forward to all the present troubles being behind us!
