PostPosted: May 19, 2020 02:42    Post subject: Pyrope in the parent rock serpentinite - quarry

Hi,
I would like to share with you an expedition to an interesting quarry, where a Czech Garnet, called Pyrope, was mined earlier in the 18th century.
The quarry is no longer active and is listed as a natural monument.
There is a pyrope in the parent rock serpentinite, called snake in Czech.
Have a nice day to all mineral fans
