Not an Xmas card but a New Year thought
For a talk I hope to do in February I thought it would be useful to look back to when we as a hobby began to move on-line. I had a look at how many times an email or web address was mentioned in a Mineralogical Record advert. You can see it starts with ONE email address in January 1995, and then Fabre Minerals stared in 1996, along with a few other folks.
I suspect nowadays it would be "how many adverts do NOT have a web address"
27 years ago this change started
I hope we can look forward to a good 2022

Pete, I just purchased one of these "winged" apatites, and I am very curious to hear what you come up with, with regard to their habit. I had never seen anything like them.

Happy New Year to Everyone !
First I'd like to apologise that I haven't take time to comment and to post in 2021. I've seen a lot of beautiful specimens and read very interesting posts. Thanks to the persons who have animated FMF. Hope I'll have the energy to be more active this year. This site is really unique because it's full of high quality information and at the same time respectful with everybody, from beginners to professionals. Thanks to Jordi and all the administrators.
I wish to all of you and your families an healthy and positive year.
