PostPosted: Jan 02, 2022 01:05    Post subject: Doubt about Black Jade / Jadeite

Hi guys!

I have owned Black Jade or black Jadeite from Guatemala for several years, this is rough, neither polished nor anything, natural, they are several kilograms.

My question is, how can I know what the value of this is? There is very little information about this on the Internet. And where to sell it? On the internet I have seen that they sell Black Jade or Jadeite but in small quantities or in jewels and jewels, but not in large quantities in rough form.

Thank you very much for your help.

Greetings.

Hello,
You are not on the right forum to have an answer to that question.

I doubt that anybody here will estimate a value of any items (it is in the rules of the forum)
then, we are not interested in rocks and minerals for carving.

If you have a look at the Forum guide, you will see that we are dedicated to crystalized minerals.

I think that an administrator is going to give you an official answer, in this way soon

You should contact people involved in jewelry or carving.

Happy new year

Hello ElBicho,

Yes, Philippe is correct, this is a non-commercial forum for mineral enthusiasts, dedicated to sharing discussions about mineralogy. We are not interested in polished stones and do not discuss valuations, jewelry, and the sale of items on the forum.

As Philippe has suggested, you should consult a jeweler or a stone carver to answer your question. Thanks for your understanding.

Michael
