Hello, I am hoping that someone might be able to identify the lilac-blue mineral coating the heterogenite in association with Brochantite in the attached photo (FOV=10x8 mm)
Thank you!

Tough one. Perhaps you already thought about Chrysocolla, which can be kind of blue and earthy and is reported to be from there, but that is just a guess. And there certainly are many greenish/blueish secondary Cu minerals. Perhaps someone with first hand knowledge of the locality can weigh in. Or maybe you will need to get it analyzed.

Absolutely right but having ordered analysis of other samples from this mine I would recommend Plancheite for this one.

Hello,
Given the origin, of Kabolela, I think it is either shattuckite or plancheite and certainly not chrysocolla.
But since plancheite is lighter than the more pronounced blue shattuckite, so I would say shattuckite.
fibrous habit.
