PostPosted: Jan 30, 2023 14:49    Post subject: In memoriam - John Medici, the best digger

Due to distribution problems of Mineralogical Record in Europe (fortunately already solved), I have not known until today that in July 2022 John Medici died.
With him a light and a smile vanish. The memory of him is a big smile that filled his face as well as everything around him.

A mineralogist above all else, he gave us his contributions to FMF in a multitude of messages and left his gallery of images as a reminder of his ability to find beautiful things.

I'm so sorry I took so long John, you whom were always so quick to offer your best. Serve this late note to wish to find you in another life digging a pocket. Me learning and you teaching, as you taught your son Jay and, with your example, all those who loves minerals.

Rest in Peace, Dr. Medici, I enjoyed our visits in Tucson.
