PostPosted: Mar 03, 2023 15:34    Post subject: Tucson Top Gem is now B2B Minerals

I recently received an email from the previous manager of Top Gem that Top Gem is no more. I was in the area this morning and stopped in to see whazzup.

Top Gem was started by Mike New decades ago and his numerous contacts in the mineral business enabled him to provide a wide variety of minerals and "gift shop" type material - ESPECIALLY from Mexico.

The main building and the annex have been sold and the entire inventory of Top Gem was also sold and removed from the building (see photos). A new business has taken over the facility - it is called B2B Minerals and is just beginning to restock the shelves with new material. The dealers in the annex remain unchanged.

The owner/manager Justin said his business plan will be similar to Mike's and he also is maintaining the many contacts that have supplied Top Gem previously.

hopefully this new business will still be a good source of nice minerals.

Just a further indicator of an evolving Tucson.

YES! especially in and around Min City - which is clearly now the Tucson Mineral District. Some of the nearby Ma and Pa motels are also fenced off to either be razed or totally remodeled.

Stay tuned - this somewhat seedy area has a promising future.
