An important change compared to the 2023 edition of the show. The opening hours for all days, professional & public days, will be from 9:00 to 18:00, closing one hour earlier than last year.
We're ONE WEEK AWAY from the official start of the 2024 Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines Show in the Alsace region of France and BlueCap Productions is getting geared up for our trip to the show.
As usual, we'll be filming our annual What's Hot In Ste. Marie program which will be hosted by Show Hosts Eric DeCarlo and Alain Martaud.
During the trip, we'll also be posting LIVE videos of some of the things going on at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines so keep checking back to see the latest LIVE from the 2024 Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines show!!!
To see all the LIVE videos we've posted during our trip, visit BlueCap Productions' What's Hot In Ste. Marie: 24 YouTube Playlist at:

...A lot of things happen at a Show like this, even more so if you experience it intensely and with the opportunity to see it with "different eyes." I've been attending for many years, and I could say that until now I've been seeing only the tip of the iceberg in a more "superficial" way. But this year, I had the opportunity to dive a bit deeper and notice the enormous base of that iceberg.
I know that for the reader, what I’m explaining might seem a bit strange and hard to understand, but if you take a leap of faith, I can assure you that there is a sub-show within the Sainte-Marie Show. One day I will be able to explain it and clear up the mystery...
and this is my answer 😏 :
What Carles is referring to, and not mentioning because I asked him not to, is that as I get older, I felt bad that the accumulated experience of 42 editions of the Ste. Marie Show, without missing any, would be lost. So, I asked him if this year he would like to forgot the type of Show he usually experiences and have a different, full-on fair with me. Without hesitation, he jumped at the chance.
Two people have decisively influenced me in the world of minerals: Mr. Joaquín Folch Girona in terms of knowledge and rigor, and Barry Yampol in terms of intensity and the desire to achieve the best. I am preparing an article about Barry Yampol, which I have not published yet due to the difficulty of accurately portraying such a strong personality. Once I publish it here, I think it will be better understood what I mean when I refer to him.
I have been incredibly lucky in life: to personally know Mr. Folch and Barry Yampol and to have both of them, in a way, 'adopt' me (and many others as well). When I thought my luck had run out with these two figures, fortune smiled on me again years ago at a mineral show in Barcelona when I met a young man, Carles Manresa, who was incredibly passionate about minerals and whose eyes 'shone' (and still shine) when he saw a mineral. Years have passed, and at this edition of Sainte-Marie, I was able to pass on part of my knowledge to him, which also contains the memory of much others knowledges.
I now leave the initiative to Carles in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2024 - The Mineral Fest
As you read what he writes, you will see the future, and how much minerals can give to those who truly love them. 🤗

The always efficient Pina and Gérard Schneller from Sainte-Marie have provided us with this set of news articles about the Show that appeared in the local newspapers during the days of the event.

And still two more publications, thanks again to Pina and Gérard.
