This was finally selected for production as LEGO(r) produced the elements needed to make it real! The Minerals Display is now 100% buildable with available bricks. All specimens have been redesigned and with legal joints (in fact some minerals - alas - had to go)

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the guy/gal behind this?
Make a great exhibit for TGMS

I will see if they can sort out the crystal forms, and maybe we will get a cubic yellow Fluorite, not a cubic Rhodochrosite

Peter, try contacting Lego (r). I would love them to do some other minerals, such as Fluorite (almost any color), Galena, Japan law Quartz, etc

My daughter is a member and will try to get the parts list. You can use it, with some color variations, to create specimens of minerals from precise localities!

A Hilton yellow Fluorite
Navajun Pyrite
Peruvian Japan law Quartz
Tri-state Galena
etc.

Lego says it is not official yet, so cannot be displayed until it is

I have seen some Lego mineral ideas before, some time ago there was even a Lego Sweet Home Mine Rhodo in a video from Bluecapproductions :-)
As a huge fan of both Lego and minerals I just love these ideas!

Let's see if we can get the parts list and you can then build your own. Lego have said that once they have modified the design and created the instructions it will be official
