The only things left to be packed: Mineral artwork by German artists Eduard von Gruetzner (1846-1925), Adolf Mosengel (1837-1885) and ... Tobias Martin ;-) I hope they will go together well with the specimens:

The day at the museum started the same way yesterday ended: With work. Curator Professor Masberg and his assistant Mr. Keller helped me to unpack, to arrange and to give each specimen a good base for stable stand. Therefore they had a mobile work table - really useful ;-)

After a while the work was half done: Most specimens unpacked and set on display. A few were still missing, also the labels, and many specimens were just lying down without a base ...

... But we finally got it: Each specimen was put at best point of view, the labels were added and the arrangement was completed. This picture was shot just before Mr. Keller closed the heavy front screen of the display.

Thank you, Gneissware!

Here's another shot of the completed display. For size info: The entire display has a width of 150 cm, a depth of 50 cm and a height of 180 at all (130 cm display plus 50 cm pedestals).

Some detailed shots. Here's a calcite from the Juchem Quarry near Idar-Oberstein. (The black labels measure 2,5 x 4 cm).
