Very powerful but also pretty user unfriendly Gimp.

Quite good is Photopea, the advantage is very similar layout to Photoshop = easy switch if needed.

Duncan, if you use a LED light source, that might be the problem. There are 4 things which often ruin the colors - of course I tried all of them :D
