There are numerous shows in Oregon, earlier this month they had the one at the Omsi center called We Will Rock You, I think that's what it was, it was an agate and mineral show and I now there is one at the Oregon Convention center and a couple at seaside. I was just wondering if anyone has ever traveled to one of these shows. I have not yet had the chance to go to one since I am just now starting to get into this hobby but look forward to attending one of these shows in the future. And if anyone has been to one of these ones I was wondering if you had any pictures of your time there, I can't make it out to seaside but the convention center show is one I would love to go to some time.

Since you are just getting started, I would encourage you to visit museums, shows and determine if you have mineral club in your area.

I checked and there is no clubs around here :( and the museums this are has are art museums. I would have to travel a few hours to go where there would be anything good. That's why I was asking about Oregon shows, I know there are some but not 100% sure when they are or really I'm not too sure where they are either but if there is one at teh Oregon Convention center I might be able to make it out there

Grab a copy of Rocks and Gems or Lapidary Journal. They carry lists of the upcoming shows.

I never herd of those in fact I have no idea what stone magazines but I will keep an eye for it. So I take it you haven't been to any Oregon shows then?

Google on both and you will be able to learn all about them. No, I have never attended any kind of show in Oregon. I am here in Arizona but I do know there are minerals and gem materials that come from Oregon.
