Hallo Everyone,
You all know the well-known Polygonal agate or pseudo agate or Paraiba agate.
The beautiful book Minerals & Precious Stones of Brazil, The extra Lapis nr. 39 Achate and the Show catalogue of The Mineralientage München 1987 they all mention Paraiba as locality name.
Mindat also gives Paraiba as locality name.
Does anyone know a more precise locality information than just Pariba?
Greetings,

Hello Herman:
The polygonal agates came from Sítio Garguelo (="Garguelo farm"), Cachoeira dos Índios, Paraíba state.
I got the information on an article published by Jacques Cassedanne: Les Agates du Sitio Garguelo (Municipe de Cachoeira dos 'Indios, Para'iba) - Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciencias, v. 56, p. 169-181 (1984); if you want I can E-mail you a copy of this article.
