I have noticed that my posts are sometimes not coming out right. I am a mediocre speller and an atrocious typist, so I usually check my posts before entering them. But it will look perfectly correct then, when I send it to the board, it is changed. It looks like something from Google Translate, with word order changed, weird capitalization...once I said it was a shame Kyo Sakamoto died, and it kept saying it was a shame I died. When I try to edit the post, it looks alright in the edit box. When I quote it, it looks OK there too. But when it shows up on the forum, it is still wrong.
What should I do? |

Hi, Tom.
Can you write the link to one of those strange posts? _________________ Pablo Rodríguez Cantos

Tom, Pablo,
It seems that something must be retranslating the posts, after they have already been posted, when you go to view them. Because I looked at the post you linked in your reply, and it all reads correctly as it is displayed for me on the Friends Forum page; "A shame how he died." When you go back to read it, that is where the "translation errors" must be taking place--something about your own software by which you read the Forum, perhaps? Good luck with this! |

I suspect you probably have Google translate on in your browser, or some other addon for your browser. |

Thank you...I had tried the Google Translate at the top left and it had been left on.
That is a relief! |
