I moved recently and came across an aquamarine I had misplaced. Its growing on me and I've had it on my desk for the past 2 months. It is different than all of my other specimens. Its not high quality in terms of clarity, but its form is fantastic and Im hoping you guys can help me better describe this crystal. It has some veil inclusions and there are also some black inclusions straight down the center barely intruding into the crystal itself. The double termination and unequal axes are intriguing to me (and hopefully a clue to a more exact location). I have not been able to find anything similar. I was told its from Brazil but nothing more specific. Please help me out with more accurate descriptions (and possibly a more exact location) and any comments as to this habit and its rarity. Thanks all.
FYI the color is sea green down the c axis and yes, that piece of wood is painted silver...

As Rock Currier said, when you don't know the location of a mineral, the most probably it is from Minas Gerais.

Here is the other termination more clearly.
Obviously aquamarine is very common and this is clearly a hexagonal crystal. Im wondering since its not a perfect hexagon, but rather perfectly twice the length over width, or being double terminated make this a rare piece. Im having trouble finding anything resembling it to compare it to.

Flattened hexagons with a 2/1 ratio are certainly not common.
This in an example from Colombia.
As Rock Currier could have said, when you don't know the location of an emerald, the most probably it is from Muzo.

and - as Rock Currier could've said - when you don't know the locality of an aquamarine, it's from Gilgit, Pakistan.
actually - I have a somewhat similar doubly terminated aqua that is indeed from Gilgit, Pakistan.

Although most beryl xtals are about equant perpendicular to the c-axis, it is not super uncommon to find xtals that are wider in one dimension like yours. Double termination is more rare too, but not that rare, and enhances its value. It looks like there is some etching on one of the terminations.
Nice xtal.
