We all enjoy seeing mineral oddities, but how many of us have seen or actually have mineral related periodicals with incorrectly printed covers? Mineral oddities.....well sort of.

Over the 20 years that I have subscribed to the Mineralogical Record, I have received in the mail 2 issues with the misprinted covers as seen in these photos. In both cases the Min Rec folks sent me correctly printed issues and since that time they have saved a couple of other misprints for me, giving them to me at the shows that I attend. BOB

Well, interesting. But I guess these magazine issues are never going to become the kind of collectors item as are postage stamps with the airplane printed upside down!

I like collecting unusual habits of crystals.....you are the first I know to collect unusual habits of mineralogical magazines ;-)
