I'm looking for any mineralogical details/records from the central part of the Picos de Europa Massif in northern Spain but ONLY from the side of ASTURIAS. In local language this is 'Macizo Central' with famous Pico de Urriellu (Naranjo de Bulnes) and small village Bulnes in the middle. Could be in Spanish too. Thanks in advance.

You can try this: ÁNDARA. El Macizo Oriental de Picos de Europa - (16)

Thanks for the nice trip - despite the fact that the entire area is located on the side of Cantabria (Liébana), but always Picos make my heart rhythm speeds up :)
I know photos of Manuel Echevarria Rodriguez from Mindat, here some of this specimens in better quality:

- https://www.mindat.org/photo-304859.html

but I never saw this topic . Like some comments, I noticed too that there are areas where you never see other people. I prefer the period between the end of May and the second half of June, when orchids and gentians bloom. And one more thing - as Echevarria also mentioned, thanks Mother Nature for the erosion !!! We still can find new minerals on the slopes - legally or not, this is other story....

Sorry, but as far as I know the Ándara massif belongs both the Principado de Asturias and Cantabria. See: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macizo_de_%C3%81ndara

Yes - of course, but all provided localities are on Cantabria side:
- car parking Jito de Escarandi
- Casetón de Andara
- La canal de las Vacas
- La Rasa de la Inagotable

only Sortes is in Asturias.
Perfect visible edge of the Ándara massif you can see from Pico Valdominguero on Asturias/Cantabria border line or from Cueto Tejao, with incredible view of the Rio Duje valley, natural border between Macizo Central and Oriental incl. Ándara

P.S. For Wikiloc users, I recommend:
Ruta el Jito de Escarandi-Casetón de Ándara-Pico Samelar y vuelta por Canal de las Vacas (Picos de Europa-Macizo Oriental) - with possibility to download full route to the Google Earth.

James - I know this web page since years. Maybe I repeat once again - ''Macizo Central' with Pico de Urriellu (Naranjo de Bulnes) or Torre de Cerredo -villages Bulnes and Sotres, between Rio Cares and Rio Duje in Asturias side (Caín de Valdeón is in Leon).

Just view the KMZ file in the region that interests you. I do remember doing this years ago to find a mine I had been down but had forgotten the name.

- there is nothing from Central Massif, even Andara mentioned by Jordi is missing.
Only Alava-area with two other mines north from Fuente De, or famous Covadonga lakes on the otther side of Picos..Actually this is the point why I put this question here.
