Bill Moller was a wonderful man, field collector and he and his wife, Elizabeth, assembled a fabulous mineral collection together. Bill passed on a few years ago, and this tribute case shows some of his California specimens: a Benitoite, a Neptunite and a Mesa Grande Elbaite.

And to wrap up my contribution to this thread, a few more California minerals...

A large plate from the Little 3 Mine in San Diego County. Unlike many specimens from here, the Elbaites are in perfect condition with small Albites embedded in the terminations, and 2 large Aquamarines on the side. The only thing missing to make this the perfect specimen is a Spessartine garnet. A fabulous piece! |

Tucson 02/11/2011
For the people already in Tucson and for they who will arrive tomorrow I strongly recomend a visit to the Arizona University Mineral Museum where this days runs a temporary exhibit of fabulous specimens from pegmatites, mostly Pakistan and Afghanistan. The exhibit deserves the trip, as well as the whole collection of minerals of Arizona University -> https://www.uamineralmuseum.org/

The Kesterite shown above is one out of our collection. It is my favourite.
Loving this show report, by the way!

A few pics from the Main Show at the TCC. Again a small focus on the Mexican specimens to see. Not a dealer review as several were seen before at the Westward Look, but mainly the display cases.

Peter had another case for our enjoyment, A smoking case filled with specimens from the Milpillas mine. The azurite on malachite have such a nice contrast, the "bat" is simply astonishing, and the brochantite.....I only had my BB to take picture yesterday. Better close-up later with the better camera. |

Hi Folks,
Great report. Thanks for sharing your photos with people (like me) who didn't have time to visit the show. I hope you'll post some more in the coming days.
