For those who do not know this journal I would like to call attention to it. This is a remarkable mineralogical journal. The articles are almost exclusively about Italian localities, but the photography is outstanding. There are always wonderful and usually scenic site photos, frequently very detailed geologic maps and cross-sections, and the specimen photos are superb. As far as I know there is no other mineral journal that provides so many first-class color photos of rare species in micro sizes. The journal is printed on heavy, high quality paper in full color.

Although the articles are written in Italian, there are abstracts at the end of each in both English and German.

Most issues also carry show reports with lots of great photos. These are mostly Italian shows but Munich and some other European shows are at times included.

The journal is about 30 x 21 cm in size and an absolute treat to leaf through, even if one does not read Italian.
