Gail I just could not believe my eyes when I saw that Leucophanite on Acmite, it is just breath taking, to me personally the aesthetics are ....? can't find the right word. Structurally beautiful and minimalistic. Thanks.

I nice "bowtie" apophylllite that was a mineral I was seriously collecting after about a year into it. I think this is the best one we have.

This is one of our Apatites that has a colour I love. We also have another in a toenail size that is outstanding. This is a small cabinet sized piece displayed below.

Thanks Christophe, we both really enjoy this piece and have located it in a prominent area of our main cabinet. I appreciate your kindness.

Here is a photo of the smaller one to compliment our larger version above. This is more of a miniature than a toenail, now that I have had it out to photo.

This is a fun photo taken to tease a fellow on mindat who uses Yukon Cornelius as an avatar. I happened to have a figurine and took this photo of our Gold from the Mockingbird Mine as though the character had just discovered it. All in fun.

Pentagonite, from India. This is a miniature that I keep in my best cabinet and get to thrill at the sight of it daily.
Delicate and very rich in colour. Always one of my favourites.

Hello Gail.
I enjoy too much see your section. You have very wonderful and aesthetic minerals, and I like too your combined photos of minerals with figures.
I have a curiosity. The last photo of Pentagonite in addition of Pentagonite:
What is the other mineral that we can see?... is it Stilbite?.
Congratulations and thank you very much. Best regardas from South of Spain. Juan.

A lovely piece we picked up just last night from a fellow MAD member. I have always admired this piece in Wally Mann's collection and he finally succumbed to my chinese water torture and agreed to le us have it. ( Well, perhaps that's a tad bit over stated, but I did constantly express a fascination for it! )
This is now part of our pink fluorite suite from Pakistan.
( I also have Swiss, French and Peruvian pink fluorites )
So, from Chumar Bakhoor, Pakistan...this fine 2002 July/August cover piece for the Mineralogical record. Cabinet size.
Wally got this from Herb Obodda straight from Pakistan.

I brought these other Fluorites out of the cabinet to compare them to the new one and to see the subtle differences. This is what gave me the idea of putting a shelf of some of our pink fluorites together.

Hi Gail,
Nice collection. If you can I recommend you to add one from either Switzerland or France (Italy) with smokey quartz because of the contrast. This year the Mont-Blanc's area produced many specimens. Might worth to try to get one.
Enjoy your Holidays.

Thank you Christophe! I actually have a few, just not seen on that shelf as I have them located elsewhere. They are quite beautiful as well aren't they?
I will also see what strikes my fancy in Tucson, will you be there?
Merry Christmas to you!

Hi,
Unfortunately I'm back to university and will have courses during Tucson, so I'm out. I'm counting on you to get a detailed report of the show.
For "big" shows I'll have to wait till Ste Marie Aux Mines. Who knows might see you there if you decide to visit Alsace with your husband ?

Chris, we are never sure if we are able to make it..but it is on our list of shows to attend.
These are gifts my husband gave me for Christmas presents yesterday. Sorry for the photo quality.
The first is a Star shaped Spinel from Burma. Jim knows I collect "Lone Star" minerals...meaning shape and not Texan.
The Willemite and Hemimorphite is lovely, this makes over 100 Mexican Hemimorphites in our collection....( Jim was happy with about three of them...it is me who adores them! )

Funny life!
Is a very nice history related with this Hemimorphite and Willemite Gail. I will explain it to you in Tucson.
