I'm taking a trip to southwest Kenya as part of an Engineers Without Borders project. While most of my days will be spent working, I'm hoping to have a few afternoons free and maybe even a full day if all goes well. I would like to use this free time to explore anything mineral related, so looking to the forum followers if they are aware of 1) any collecting opportunities, 2) mineral and gemstone purveyors, and/or a mineral museum near the cities of Kisumu and Kakamega. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Internet searches have so far been unproductive.
