A few fun photo's,
The first one broke off a Lazurite specimen I was pruning, it reminds me of those little ghost things pacman used to chase, then we have some Aragonites in a convoy and finally a number 7 shaped Calcite on matrix which I was given last year, the person who gave me it had field collected it around 40 years ago and couldnt remember where from.

Tazouta is the name of the searching area of Aragonite in Sefrou, Morocco ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=7455#7455 )
Nurbo, are you sure that these Aragonites comes from there? Them looks a lot as from Minglanilla area, Cuenca, Spain...

Hi Jordi,
I cant be 100% sure they came from there as I didnt actually collect them, I bought a huge bag full and they were labelled simply "Tazouta Morocco" is there any way of telling if they are from Spain? like any special feature that differentiates the Spanish ones from the Moroccan ones.

Having had a poke around in my Aragonites I think there might be some from different locations, some are glassy and almost transparent some are the opposite, I dont know if both can occur in the same place, heres a couple of photo's of the different ones to try to illustrate the opposing appearances.

Hi, Nurbo!
Please, don't forget their sizes, it's a crucial detail. I could add them if you provide that data in a further message.
Thanks,

Hi Carles,
Sorry about that, the first photo's specimen is 29 x 16 x 12 mm, the second is 29 x 12 x 10.

I added pics of three specimens of Aragonite, two of them from two different Spanish localities, both from Cuenca, Spain and the other one from Sefrou, Morocco, different of the usual shape of the Aragonites from there (pinecones) and similar to the Spanish ones. Hopefully it helps.
Also you can take a look in the Mindat images. The link to see the Spanish Aragonites from Cuenca is:

Great pictures of the Spanish Aragonites, most of the ones I have certainly look more like the Sefrou ones, I have another larger Aragonite that looks a little like the Spanish ones but is supposed to be from Morocco, Ill dig it out and photograph it, in the meantime heres a few more from the shelves. Feel free to post corrections to any mistakes :-)

Here are a few more, I just got the Jeremejevite, Ive never seen a twinned terminated one before so when I stopped drooling I bought it.. The Topaz had been in the sun long enough to wreck the glue and the base it was on, (maybe I should post this in the "Light Sensitive" thread) but still retains its vibrant colour, I do like Boleite but I wish I could afford a huge one, and the Pyro's are ex Freiburg Mining Academy..

A couple more, Im not sure if the Topaz on Quartz is Japan law twinned, its hard to tell so I wont label it as such. The Azurite nodule is just a nice thing to own it has a couple of small terminated what look like Calcite crystals on it too I'll try and get a photo of those one day soon..

A few more pieces from my collection....
First up is
Three photos of an Annabergite from the KM3 Mine, Laurion Greece, it has what Im led to believe are Siderite balls on it which are really amazing looking, I dont know what the white powdery dusting on them is Im afraid, it is present on the Annabergite crystals too.. Im open to suggestions from anyone as to what this is.
Second
Cerrusite on matrix from Mibladen, Morocco,
Finally is
A twinned Watermelon Tourmaline from Mogok.

Hello,
That was a hectic few months I mean really crazy, still mucho new rocks to display, Ive recently decided to shift my focus to British specimens having decided that "Anything that looks nice from anywhere in the world" was too wide an objective for a collection, not to mention confusing, and its hard to learn about the geology of localities when you cant visit them, reading about somewhere is no substitute for being able to go there.

Here is one of my Florence Mine pieces, the cubic Fluorites (to 2 mm) are such a light shade of blue its quite hard to capture on a photograph, but I think I did OK. At the edges of the piece some of the Fluorites are Hematite stained pink and on the back the Kidney ore has flaked away revealing an unusual Hematite pattern underneath.
