I'm located in Colorado Springs. I'm wondering how good Cripple Creek is. The actual creek and not the town. Is it mostly private with a little to the public? Also is there any other place that might give me color in my pan. Thanks.

The trip went well! It was my second time prospecting and we found gold flakes and some crystals that were on the creek bank. I'll have pictures of them later but they seemed to break rather easy and I could shave it into a fine powder with my knife. They were white and clear. I have a chunk about the size of a baseball.
