PostPosted: Mar 29, 2016 11:37    Post subject: Utah Smoky Quartz Find

I opened a large pocket of smoky quartz in Utah and wanted some opinions on the way some formed. Most of what we pulled out were doubly terminated crystal points in sand and clay. Some broke in formation and regrew themselves either back together or grew new ends. In the pocket we hit a wall of what I thought was microcline and I'm not sure if the pocket will continue behind it. We have yet to hit a solid wall since breaking in.

Bob is right - you cannot advertise minerals for sale on this Forum. I have deleted the last part of your post dealing with the sale of specimens.

Good luck on future digging.

Michael
