PostPosted: Feb 06, 2009 19:14    Post subject: S Blyskal Collection

I'm going to upload a few photos of my collection I took years ago when I shot slides. Since I'm at work I may not have detailed locality info or dimensions. Will add those later. Most of my mineral photography in digital form has been for my club and for my business, not much of my collection. Hope to rectify that this year with a new macro setup.

That is a superb wavellite!
I have an interest in Arkansas specimens having collected there in 1987.
I'm a member of HGMS and also founding member of the recently formed Piney Woods Gem & Mineral Society in Huntsville.
I keep trying to get to a HGMS meeting but it's not easy being a hundred miles away...
I have a few specimens (labels with your name) I got at the last show, but don't think we met...
Looking forward to meeting you one day. And to meet Art Smith someday too.
Kevin

Hey, if you think that's a good wavellite, you should see the stuff coming from the DeLinde Pit on the other side of the ridge. The best wavellite since the glory days of Mauldin Mountain. Blue color in the best pieces. Got some good ones for myself.

That Wavellite looks like a bunch of those expensive fruity cocktail umbrellas
