I see the tree. As a Lord of the Rings fan I think you should present it upside down and make it the Pyrite of Gondor ;-)

Hi Tobi.
Thanks for your post.

The presentation is always, at least for me, a topic for discusión.
In this case it seemed to me more balanced to present the pentagon supported in its base.

Your post baptized this sample as Gondor’s pyrite and and I’ll keep it like this in my database.

----------
Gypsum from Roccastrada.

IMG_5115.3.jpg
 Mineral: Gypsum
 Locality:
Roccastrada, Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy
 Dimensions: 40 mm x 286 mm x 9 mm
 Description:
Elongated crystal with six well defined faces.

IMG_5118.3.jpg
 Mineral: Gypsum
 Locality:
Roccastrada, Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy
 Dimensions: 268 mm x 40 mm x 9 mm
 Description:
It´s broken at the middle but it is a simple fracture since the two halves fit perfectly.
This scar shows the long life of the crystal.
