Hi! So I got this today alongside a jasper, a rose quartz and an opal. It was the only gem in the basket without a label, but I really like it and I'm curious to know what it is. Thanks in advance!

Hi Tomi. Nice. Your gemstone is a polished pebble of quartz, more stone than gem, but hey, if you like it then good on you. Enjoy it. As to provenance, I cannot help you.

At any rate, enjoy your acquisition.

Hi to everybody!
It appears to me to be an agate, probably from Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul or MInas Gerais).

I agree with "agate". That name as commonly used is fairly used is fairly generic but fairly accurate for most banded SiO2's. not technically but good enough.
