Hello,

my name is Tobias Martin, i'm a mineral collector from Marburg (Hesse, Germany). I have known Jordi Fabre's website for a long time and i discovered that this forum is full of people with good knowledge of minerals. And wow - some of you have really breathtaking and absolutely stunning specimens in their collections, as i can see in the "Collection Photos" thread.

Something about me: I'm 26 years old and just about to earn my college degree in German language & literature and in history. I started collecting minerals at the age of 8 or 9, when our school class visited the mineral museum of my hometown Marburg and i was "infected" with the mineral virus ;-) I began with systematic collecting, but changed my focus to beautiful and fine quality specimens. So my favourite minerals are fluorite, calcite, garnet, tourmaline, quartz and beryl. I gave away many of the specimens from my former systematic collection and i am happy to have sold some nice classics and rare species to collectors in Europe, which appreciate this specimens more than i do. Even if i concentrate on fine and beautiful specimens i kept some nice classics, for example fluorites from old German mines. I will try to put some photos of my best specimens in the "Collection Photos" thread, so that i can share them with you.

I hope to be welcome here and maybe to help answering some questions.
