I ended up with a case of the famous "Tucson Crud" which is not always fun. But I seem to be on the mend and hope to be over it soon. My definition of Tucson Crud is whatever you come home with ...sleep deprivation, too many cocktails, sitting outside under gas heaters so your back is toasty warm and your front if freezing cold, skipping meals so you don't miss seeing minerals...you name it.
Combine that with the super dry air of Tucson and voila, the CRUD!
It was worth it, but there are a few things you can do to minimize this experience...
Drink LOTS of water, it is the desert after all.
Get some rest, so much going on you tend to forget about sleeping.
Eat a good breakfast, you will be on your feet all day and probably grab a snack for lunch and then eat a meal late in the evening.
Bring comfortable shoes, then change them daily so you rotate through two or three pairs.
Bring a good backpack or foldable bag, and perhaps a wheeled small foldable cart, your back will thank you.
On another note, chapstick, moisturizer and sun block, tums and ibuprofen or aspirin are handy to carry with you.
I saw a lot of folks using walkers at the show, it enabled them to get around and see everything, so if you suffer from problems with walking, it makes sense.
And there are those really cool canes with a seat built in...
Take the time to sit and kick back each day during the shows. Most dealers offer a chair or two, and the Main show had areas to meet up and supplied chairs.
Pamper yourself!

Saturday, MAIN SHOW and ending with awards during the evening dinner. I am a HUGE fan of supporting the TGMS and the awards are wonderful.

Collector's Edge Main Show display and booth. I find their extra care in setting up a comfortable and elegant display very inviting. Good marketing yet very approachable booth.

...Another Crystal Hunters case, this one Smoky Quartz and Amazonite. Our friend, and neighbor, went and did some fun digging with her daughter for this adventure. I love seeing what fun these children have!
