Description: Classic specimen of lustrous, black, tapered clusters of Schorl tourmaline to 45 x 7 mm are crowned with rosettes of silvery Muscovite crystals. A water-clear, lustrous Quartz point measuring 15 mm, intergrown with Schorl, is nestled in the Muscovite. In perfect condition, this is from the A.G. Boynton collection, circa 1910-1940. Boynton was a mining engineer and assembled a nice collection of rare specimens from the localities of that period. ex. Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas collection.
