Hi all,

I recently acquired a nice loose gem crystal of emerald from North Carolina. What attracted me to the specimen was its incredibly sharp form and gemminess for the locality. Plus, the hexagon shape looks unlike most emeralds I've seen from the there -- it looks like a triangle with truncated corners as opposed to sides with even dimensions.

Ed Speer and I have talked about the piece, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen comparable crystals.
