PostPosted: Apr 18, 2011 11:27    Post subject: I am experiencing difficulty obtaining "microcosmic salt"

Hello.
I wish to use blowpipe and old chemistry methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis, but am experiencing difficulty obtaining "microcosmic salt"/sodium ammonium hydrogen phosphate/sodic-hydric-ammonic-phosphate" in less than multi-kilo lots. I have a business, so CAN buy this restricted chemical, but only need a few grams. IS THERE a place to buy this in small lots?
Thanks, Michael

Try googling sodium ammonium hydrogen phosphate and then select "Shopping" button on the left. Several companies sell 100 g quantities.

Hi. thanks for the answer, but google did not find any of the various names, shopping nor at all. Do you know of a company by name I could try? Internet Explorer finds it by reference, but have found only huge quantities, $*) for a pound, when I need only ten grams or so...
The companies that offer it only do so wholesale, and they say it is a restricted chemical...
