Hi everybody, new Italian member here! I introduced myself yesterday on the Off-topic section but my post was deleted; could someone please explain me why?
Anyway, as my first photo I wanted to show you a classic Congolese Dioptase; hope you enjoy!

Sorry but Brazzaville is not in the Democratic Republic of Congo (ex Zaire).
Brazzaville is in front of Kinshasa and is the capital of another country, the Republic of Congo.

Sorry, I got distracted! My mistake!
Thank you for telling me; could someone please correct my post? Thanks!

Hi Alessio,
Your introduction post was not deleted, but moved to the "Presentation of new members - Reference Thread" thread.
Welcome,
Michael

Welcome to the group Alessio, I look forward to seeing more of your collection. I particularly enjoy seeing the European collections, as they give me a different perspective relative to what I see in Canada.

Hi Alessio, I already corrected it in your post, but as you can see in Mindat ( https://www.mindat.org/loc-232804.html ) :
NOTE: Numerous minerals attributed in the literature to Brazzaville came in reality from other parts of the Republic of Congo. The city of Brazzaville itself has no rocks other than unconsolidated Quaternary alluvium.
so I'm almost sure your Dioptase is from Mindouli:
https://www.mindat.org/photosearch.php?frm_id=mls&cform_is_valid=1&minname=dioptase&cf_mls_page=1®ion=mindouli&sort=&submit_mls=Search
do you want I change the caption to this locality?

Hi Alessio!
A warm warm welcome from another Italian member! So we can also visit each other's collections if you want! You just have to send me a message!

Hi guys, thank you for the warm welcome!
Jordi, thank you for correcting the file's description and for telling me about the locality situation; since I'm now pretty sure that the label the seller gave me is completely uncorrect, if you can, change the locality to Mindouli please.
Grazie Riccardo! I will send you a message for sure!
As an apology for all the mistakes I already made (Michael: guess I have to get used to the forum rules!) here's a group of aquamarine and schorl from Pakistan.

Done.
BTW, in the next days I will delete all the texts related with moved posts, Mindouli, and so on in order to keep cleaner this thread.
