in fact the crystal is dark green, like demantoid, and the terminations have a really lighter color.

Hi Patrick!
Many thanks for your comments at https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=5493#5493
But I do think my Kerrouchen azurite is not as good as you say. Perhaps yours is better, but the photograph poor quality does not allow to display it as it actually is. I offer you a slightly better picture below. If you didn't like this photo posted, please let me know and I'll delete it.

Holy Cow!!!
So Carles. You were able to take the photo on the left, and manipulate it to wind up with the photograph on the right? You can do things like that?
Man, I need to buy me one of those Photoshop thingies.
I am stunned and amazed, had no idea....
Thanks for the demonstration.
Ed

Hi Ed!
You can also do that in less than five minutes without being an expert. But I'm not actually using Photoshop. I recently acquired a license of Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate, which you can try for free for a month, that is what I did.
(Note: This is not a commercial post. I have absolutely no relationship with the vendor of the software except my being a casual customer.)
Good luck!

I think the best thing to do should be to shoot dark minerals on a clear background.
The color of the azurite is very dark, that's why I have a dark color on the original photo, but maybe the good color is between the two pics you have put.
In fact, my photo is not terrific, lack of volume, I will take another one.
Your specimen is nice, it's not the same shape, and especially not same terminations.
I have chosen this azurite because of twin.

Hi All,
I have taken a pic of this Wulfenite, on a white background, to create a bannière for a link to a website.
The idea was to help people in France, who want to trade or sell their minerals without using forums, or websites like Ebay. I used to think that it can be better for enthusiasts to meet other enthusiasts to swap specimens.
For the moment.... absolutely no success...
However, I am happy to have taken this shot and created the"bannière",and now I know how to put a link into a photo.
And finally, I like the white background too, and it's really easier to take a pic on a white background....

Thanks a lot!
I have trimmed this specimen from a larger piece. There were many adamite crystals, but lots were broken. There was a secret vug, where the lonely crystal on bottom was hidden.

The Anatase was really big before trimming, and really ugly too, near 10 cm, only matrix, and no crystals except a 3 cm area.
This prehnite was a similar case.

Hi Patrice,
The Jeremejevite is really nice, is it pleochroic? and the Adamite is superb, you really do have a good eye for the things you put in your collection. Your photos always seem to do them justice too, they look clean and sharp, very well done. Is the Adamite fluorescent? One last question, do you find trimming your specimens as scary as I do? I'm always very nervous when I trim stuff, like many things though I think you need to be confident and quite bold when you do it.

In fact I was very scary, many years ago when I bought the specimens.
I told myself one of these days I will reduce them.
And now that I try to collect only tn's these specimens had no value (commercial or aesthetical) and so I was not really afraid to reduce them. I was thinking if it works it will maybe make a good Tn, or else nothing is lost, and it works well, no fear and no shaking hands!

The jeremejevite is near colorless at the top, and blue at the bottom, it's from Ameib Farm.

The adamite on hemimorphite is really aesthetic -- congrats on a truly lovely TN.
Cheers,

Hi All,
here is a new pic of a recently trimmed specimen.
It's just a cut diamond on a rock.
I would like to find another specimen of same quality, but a little bit bigger.....
