Something a little different today.
The Campo del Cielo meteorite is an iron nickel meteorite that was discovered in 1576 although it was known to indigenous peoples well before that. The fall created numerous craters over an area of 55 km2 and the total weight of the fragments is estimated to be over 100 metric tons. Thousands of small fragments have been recovered from several of the craters making it one of the most prolific meteorite finds. Carbon-14 analysis of charred wood samples taken from beneath the fragments indicated the fall happened around 4,200-4,700 years ago. The age of the meteorite is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old.

A fragment of an Fe Ni meteorite. The meteorite is classified structurally as an octahedrite, the most common class of iron meteorites. The fragments of this particular meteorite contain an unusually high density of inclusions for an iron meteorite including 3.36 ppm iridium, 87 ppm gallium, 407 ppm germanium, 0.25% phosphorus, 0.43% cobalt, and 6.67% nickel, with the remaining 92.6% consisting of iron. It is thought that the numerous inclusions may have contributed to the disintegration of the original mass. |

But it's really just an opinion, not for certain. There are many localities with similar mineralization in that area, some of them (e.g. Ilse Mine, Hesselbach Mine, Anton Mine, Tannenboden Mine or Segen Gottes Mine) are also quite known, at least among collectors who like Black Forest minerals. And then there are are several smaller mines where your fluorite c o u l d come from ... But Clara Mine is such a large and major deposit that many many many - maybe most - of the "Freiburg" fluorites are from that deposit.

Tobi, yes I understand it is just an opinion. I looked through all of the Clara Mine fluorite photos on Mindat and there were a few that were pretty similar. I have made a note in my catalog that the Clara Mine is a possible location for the fluorite.

I would do the same. I think that a locality note like "Black Forest (maybe Clara Mine), Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany" is the best idea, both for the catalog and the label.
