One of the things that makes me saddest about not being there this year is that, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Sainte-Marie, I lent them 6 pieces from my personal collection (something I never do), and just the one time I do it, I won’t be able to see them on display! 😒
|
...And not having been able to step in to prevent mistakes like the label in the exhibition saying 'Áliva, Asturias' instead of 'Áliva, Cantabria' (3rd level of the mine)
I've already informed them—let's see if they can fix it.

I often see that error, and even had to correct it on other sites

I hope and wish that some Forum member who goes to that magnificent event can share photos, videos, or their impressions of what is Europe’s quintessential summer mineral show. More than one of us would be very grateful.

Many thanks to everyone contributing their photos. This particular image is by Mark Mauthner, and additional photos from other FMF members will follow.
You're helping bring the spirit of Sainte-Marie to those of us who couldn't be there this year — and that means a lot. Thank you again!
By the way, Mark is doing an extensive photo report for The Mineralogical Record magazine. Together with the texts by Tom Moore, who is also in Sainte-Marie, it will be a great report!
