A trip today to Pike law and Flushiemere mine trip Newbiggin, county Durham UK.

A huge complex of veins including the Westerhead, Tarn Streak, New Streak, Pike Law Old, Broadly Hill North, Broadly Hill South, Leonard's and Flask vein all converged in one area.

Numerous spoil heaps with abundant mineral specimens to see. Easy access adjacent to the road leading from Westgate to Newbiggin. A mix of easy to view small dumps and huge challenging rugged landscape of convoluted veins and hushes. Abundant pretty clear lavender coloured fluorites
