If you want to confirm the mineral I suggest you get it tested as we cannot do so from photos alone.

It is often sold by healy feelies, so could have been thrown out by a previous owner. I have no idea if it is really jasper but the hardness suggests it is.

What tests have you done on it? Hardness is the minimum. Locality and size too.

We used to find natural citrine in Spain, as single crystals. The ones I have seen in geodes tend to be treated amethyst
