It looks like the matrix is fluorescing red. Feldspar can fluoresce red and garnet occurs in feldspar.

Zircon and corundum (ruby) do occur together. Zircon frequently fluoresces yellow though.

Can you give us any information about its hardness? Locality? Is the last photo just a strong light, or is it a LWUV (it looks like it might be a Convoy)? If not, does it fluoresce?
