Hi, Jordi;
Thanks for your really nice and informative web site. I echo John White's comments and others regarding the downturn in collector knowledge about the minerals we collect. This brings me to my questions. I have a birding trip coming up in 2007 to Spain. I would like to learn more about the mineralogy and geology of Spain. Do you have some recommendations regarding where I can learn more about these topics before I go to Spain? Thanks and best regards,

Tony,

I suggest to you to visit this web page:

https://www.bocamina.com/esp/revistas.htm

you will find there a Spanish magazine, Bocamina, where the main Spanish localities and its Geology be published, and for free!
The main issue, the one where you can find an overview about Spanish Mineralogy / Geology, is the issue number 0:

https://www.bocamina.com/esp/n00.htm

Hopefully it helps,

Jordi
