Just got back from Hawaii. Visited there an eclectic museum with Chinese, Japanese, native Hawaiian, and natural history exhibits. The world-wide minerals on display are pretty darn nice, especially considering that this is a small museum in a small town in Hawaii.
I decided to travel light and so only brought my phone to take pictures. You will see that i have not learned to take good photographs with my phone. Hopefully you will find these interesting.
Mineral exhibits are organized by crystal class. My pictures are similarly organized.

Great postings Matt. I'm looking forward to seeing all your photos.
I'm in Hawaii 2-3 times a year and I've always wished they had a mineral museum. I had no idea of this one and while I'm always on Oahu, I might plan a trip to the big island when I'm there later this summer.
Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the mineral community!!!

Looks like they've upgraded the displays since Jesse and I were there many years ago. I do recall them having quite a nice collection. I also recall that Joel Bartsch was curator at one time, before making his way to the Houston Museum.

I visited the museum in early 1977 and it looks much better now.
