Of course there were mineral specimens, too, at SMaM! :) And we have already seen some very good ones in this thread.
I can't resist posting the following two...

just finished the first part of my ´alternative´show report on mindat as usual
Thanks Roger!
BTW the (relative) mystery of the precise locality of the new Spanish Fluorites (former Prado, Caravia) is already solved. They came from Llamas Quarry, Duyos, Caravia, Asturias, Spain.

With this video I close my interventions in this thread. My vision of this ediition of the Show were reflected here -> https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=18270#18270 and my intention is finish my reports sharing, with the help of this video, the wonderful atmosphere that has been nearly 50 years the "différence" between Ste Marie and other shows. Unfortunately, seems that it will be lost in the near future...
Thanks to all who have posted contributions, I encourage everybody whom attended the Show to add still more posts!
See you in Ste Marie next year (yet ;-) Until then...

Thanks for your report Roger - I'm still grinning ear to ear!
I could attend only Saturday and Sunday, so I missed many of you, and all the parties.
And thanks to Jordi and everyone else for your views and souvenir shots, too!
Here are a remaining few from me... First, hands-on crystallography for the young generation; and then you'll have to imagine the music. Sainte Marie, for me, is associated with all the sounds - the patter of many feet, the murmur of negotiating bargains, the musical intermezzos, and those incessantly clicking magnets... all part of the atmosphere, too.
And finally, a teaser of one item I brought home from the show. If you also bought one, I recommend that you apply to it, first, a magnet, and then when you're suitably impressed, a microscope to reveal the explanation.

Unfortunately, we were not able to attend Ste Marie this year for the usual reasons - lack of time and (perhaps more important) money. We did manage to spend some by proxy, however, as a friend picked up three lovely fluorites from the recent find in Asturias for us from Jose Ramon Garcia. They arrived in the post yesterday, and as soon as our cold San Francisco summer fog lifts, I think we must take them onto the veranda, along with a bottle of Gewurtztraminer and pretend that we are at the show.

Bombshell!. Although the rumor was spreading during the Fair at Munich, only now it can it be confirmed that, although it was expected that the change would occur slowly, special circumstances have forced the Sainte Marie-aux-Mines Show to move to Colmar in 2012.
Michel Schwab will soon publish a more complete official explanation that we will try to reproduce here, but it is now confirmed that Ste. Marie 2012 will be in Colmar.

Here is the promised official explanation. As the links doesn't work with jpg images I publish them separate below:
